Treat Yourself Tuesday – New York Edition

Oh hi again! It’s me…almost another entire month since my last post. #bloggerfail

Life has been busy with work and play, and I somehow fit in a mini vacation among all the craziness! Last week, we went to New York to celebrate my Pop (grandpa)’s 90th birthday. We also got to spend a couple of days in NYC. I decided to remember a few of the best treats of the trip in a TYT post, along with a few other things I’ve treated myself to since we got back.

Be sure to check out Becky’s post to see what fabulous things people have been doing to treat themselves. She puts it best:

“Do whatever feels best for you. Do something that will make you feel relaxed and loved and happy. Treat yourself well and treat yourself often so that you will become the best you possible and in turn be your best for others in your life!”

Wine is always a treat. So of course I went wine tasting in North Fork, Long Island with my aunt Jeanne (left) and my mom (center)

grandkids

At Pop’s birthday party: Pop, 5 of his 7 grandkids, and my cousin Kimberly’s new baby Tyler. It’s always a treat to see my East Coast family – just the 5 of us cousins who were there live in 4 different states!

30rock

My favorite guy, with me on top of my favorite buildings in NYC! (30 Rock)

dooneese

Russell and my best friend Joanna finally got to meet, and after years of quoting our favorite sketches and characters ad nauseum, we got to go to the SNL40 Exhibit!! “I like caaan I tooouuuchhhh”

pizza

Russell and I had pizza almost every single day we were in New York. Not an exaggeration. This pizza from BSide Pizza & Wine Bar wasn’t exactly NYC-style, but it miiight have been our favorite. (It was called the Meat Packing, and had both pancetta AND bacon. omg)

But not all of my treats this past week have been from our New York trip!

purse

Oops, I splurged on another pretty purse…Macy’s actually had a pretty good sale this weekend, and I had a coupon, so this Michael Kors didn’t actually break the bank!

bucket o fries bacon

A bucket o’ fries (bacon ranch flavored) and chocolate covered bacon at the State Fair. The bacon is officially a Krussell tradition 🙂

influenster

And last but not least…I got a new Influenster box in the mail yesterday! So far I’ve tried the Vaseline aloe spray and it smells amazing!!

So that’s it for this week! What have you treated yourself to lately?
